Ainulindalë

I have started reading The Silmarillion (By J.R.R. Tolkien). I'll have a post about it, as soon as I finish the book. For now I can only say I'm really enjoying it. This is the kind of book that has plenty stuff for being read several times.

Note: If you're curious about the title, Ainulindalë is the title of the first chapter of the book which means "The Music of the Ainur".

The Silmarillion is great! Is this your first reading?

Whenever I get broadband, I will post a recording of J.R.R. Tolkien reading about Bilbo's encounter with Gollum, and a recording of Christopher Tolkien reading the legend of Beren and Lúthien, for the readers of my blog to download.

Yes, it's my first time. It's exactly in the style I expected, and it's a style I really enjoy. I would rather to have a copy of the book in English. Unfortunately it's not very easy to get one hear and it will cost a little much! Anyhow, the Persian translation does not seem bad, and I'm using my good knowledge of English and Tolkien's works so that I understand it correctly. I'd also love to hear the recordings you mentioned. I have already heard a few of Tolkien's recordings in the official web site. By the time you upload them, I think I would also have broadband again, and that's great!!
